	Build on the top of a steep hill, Le Castellet offers a panoramic view on a large plain where vineyards and olive-trees mix.

This superb small medieval village is one of the tourist highlights in the Var.


		You can enter the village through two fortified gates and then stroll in the small lanes bordered by old stone-built houses covered with colourful flowers and ivy.
		And of course you will not remain indifferent to the scent of provençal cuisine at lunch and dinner time! Le Castellet is also known for its racing course (formerly Formula 1, currently High Tech Test Circuit) and its airport which are busy all year round. And the village is proud to have been the set for one of the French cult movies, 'La Femme du Boulanger' by Marcel Pagnol, with Raimu as the main actor.
