Marcel Pagnol, the famous 20th-century filmmaker and writer, was born in Aubagne<\/a> at 16 cours Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my on February 28, 1895. It was here that he spent his childhood and adolescence, before moving to Marseille with his parents. Nevertheless, he returned with his family on vacation to Bastide Neuve in the hills above Aubagne<\/strong>.<\/p>
