Aubagne is a town in the Bouches-du-Rhône region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. The town is famous for being the birthplace of writer and director Marcel Pagnol, who wrote numerous novels and plays about life in Provence. Aubagne is also famous for its santons, small terracotta figurines of Provencal characters, made by local craftsmen.
