Founded in 600 BC by Greek sailors from Phocaea, Marseille is the second largest city and first port in France, it was at the time of the colonies France’s gateway to the Mediterranean. The city of Marseille remains today a capital of Southern Europe generous and cosmopolitan with its accent, its picturesque old port, its bouillabaisse… Walk around the basket district. We will see one of the most beautiful buildings in Marseille dating from the 18th century, the old charity hospice, the old charity which is now the museum of Mediterranean Archaeology.

La canebière and the streets adjacent from the old port with its terraces are the most important commercial districts in Marseille. To have one of the most beautiful panoramic views, climb from the old port through the small streets to Notre dame de la garde.
